Why all the dating app hate? What do you hate the most about dating apps?

I feel like I meet women on there pretty easy, it's safer for women than going to bars, it's better on our livers than going to bars, it has not at all eliminated traditional ways of meeting women. People still go to events, social things etc, what do you hate the most about dating apps? I also love the filters like do you want kids? Etc

I don't hate dating apps they're free entertainment.

I mean when you understand that dating apps is mainly just window shopping and ego stroking for about 90 % of the women that inhabit them. They're not looking for anything less than a unicorn. You realize just to relax and have as much fun with the site as they do.

I have a small set of rules I adhere to that make using it enjoyable and entertaining.

I hate guys who go through and swipe on you even though they have no interest in you at all. You can put "looking for a serious relationship" yet they still come talk and waste time even though they don't want the same things and they are just trying to get in your pants lol. I only talked to 1 guy worth dating but he wasn't in my city he was in the twin city across the border, he was willing to come see me for a date and I liked him but I guess I chickened out because I personally thought he was out of my league lol. I never used an app since to try to date.

Ughhhh... Never do that last part! Especially when he's willing to see you. Because he certainly thinks you just flaked. As far as the first part, that can happen meeting people organically too.

Well, I cancelled the date the day before, so as not to waste his time and trouble to cross the border, but I didn't actually give him a reason why. I sort of regret that but I kind have been an avid avoider of rejection for years lol.
Yeah that is true but at least meeting organically the guy actually has to make an effort and considering most guys don't like to make much effort for hookups. It is more of a rare occurrence.

It is me. If there's anything Im a hater on is the dating apps.


1) superficiality (swipe left or right without a genuine first impression of them in person which is the intention of dating long-term at least for me)


2) catfishing her looks to try to look better but doesn’t- I would strategically point out that I like a girls more natural look and she’ll get so caked up on makeup which is a turn off


Swiping on apps has only worked.. never in my own experience


In person, I’ve realized how much having chemistry is important to me and without out I can't just go off of looks alone (so its a no from me on swiping games)

It treats people and relationships as products. People use them like shopping on Amazon or for unhealthy validation. The scams and fake bots are only the icing on the cake.


Dating apps, politics and porn are the trifecta that ended society. We just haven’t realized it yet.

I been on them with the sole purpose of finding genuine friendship and relationship. The people on them are not of good intentions and are not of good quality. The people on them don't read your bio and don't take you seriously. The only reason they match you is because you have a picture where you look photogenic in good ambient during a happy time. The moment they meet you they realise you are a normal person not a fantasy come true, and that is without catfishing. It's like trying to eat a restaurant meal by looking in the communal trash bin as well, people lie on them about their intentions but you find out on the date really what they are all about. That's why probably nicer to just engage in what makes you happy and grows your skills and esteem. Spending time on those apps makes you depressed.
