Given that everyone excludes people for one reason or another, it's really no big deal. And maybe it's better not to waste your time getting interested in someone who's sure they're not interested in you due to your race or ethnicity.

Not really no. There will be those who twist it into a negative light, however if you are from a certain group living in Australia, US etc, then you might actually want and prefer dating from those that speak your language, understand your background etc. also it allows the option of Muslims to only see other Muslims, same for Christian’s etc. It is a sensible filter, a French guy in the US and sorting for French, instantly filters out those he does not want to date.

Why is it racist? It's just a dating preference. Does this mean you have to date losers fat or short men so you don't seem racist or excluding certain people by their body? People have taken racist to new heights if you can't choose who you want to date.

I feel indifferent about it. Yeah, those people might have a preference. But they’re closing themselves off to men or women that’s everything they wanted, but just is a different race. And now, they have lost that chance. As a Mexican American guys from the west coast, I dated almost every ethnicity you can think of. And I met good and bad women, but at the end of the day, they’re all just women. We all bleed the same. And God created us all equal. When we die, it won’t matter what race we were.

I don't want to get matched with Scandanavian women if they only want to date men that look like them. Saves me time. Saves me time from dating a racist, too. I'm all for it.

Racist would be if they threw out derogatory names for such. People tend to make anything that mentions ethnicities and such as an automatic negative…… Would it be racists in you were describing someone to another person and mentioned race or nationality?

If somebody is stupid enough to build and market such an app, I'm sure there are people that would join and pay them money for it. I would say that I am instinctively against it but on the other hand it's also a good way for me to identify people that I absolutely would not want to date under any circumstance. Might be a good place to check to see if the person I was thinking of dating had a profile on there. That could keep me from actually having to spend any time with a racist.
