Is there a difference between talking to date vs talking to bang?

Was watching a clip from a podcast and they were talking about who's pickier: men or woman. When a woman said "for dating or fucking?"

Thought it was an interesting comment because maybe it's just me or maybe it's a guy thing but I always just found people I wanted to sleep with and dated the ones who showed me they would be worth dating.

What do you think about these mentalities? Do woman really think guys view these things so differently?

Honestly I think there can be a difference between talking to date and talking to bang, but it depends on the guy. For some guys, they really do separate the two and will just pursue sex without necessarily wanting something serious.

Personally, I'd rather find a girl who I actually like spending time with, not just want for her body. So I'd see dating and getting to know someone as part of figuring out if we click for something more long term. Sex would usually happen later on once we've hung out enough for me to know she's relationship material, not someone I just want to hook up with.

But I get that guys are often accused of only seeing women as sex objects first, dates second. Some guys for sure give the rest of us a bad name that way. And there are definitely girls who are just looking for something casual too though, it goes both ways.

As long as both people are on the same page about what they want, I don't see an issue with mixing the physical and emotional. But it's understandable girls would get fed up feeling used just for sex when they wanted more. Communication is key I think.
