I found a dating app on my boyfriend’s phone?

So a couple of days ago my boyfriend and I decided to take a nap. I wake up an hour or so later and he is still asleep. I’m bored and his phone is next to me. I’m tempted to look at it and I start doing it. While I’m searching through apps, I see the dating app, Hinge. My heart starts racing and I click it. When I open it, it goes straight to his account and his conversations. I’m clicking on some of the conversations and some of them were from the day before!

I’m starting to cry and I wake him up. He’s super confused and I tell him about the app. He looks at his phone and he tells me “I have no idea how it got on my phone, did you put it on there?” I tell him no and that I found it while looking at his phone.

I don’t know what to do. We currently live together and have been dating for 7 months. I don’t know if I should believe him. He tells me he has no idea how it got on there and is worried someone “hacked” him

what do I do and should I trust him?
