My boyfriend has Tinder app on his phone?

Yesterday, my boyfriend was having trouble with his Pokemon Go app and asked me to fix it. When I closed it and went to reopen it, I noticed that he had Tinder on his phone. When I asked about it, he said that a friend downloaded it to show him some girl he was talking to. I believe him but it is disheartening when my friends keep saying that he must be using the app. I believe him because he leaves his phone with me all of the time (both of us don't have locks on them), he explained why it was on there so seamlessly that it didn't feel like he was lying at all, and we are moving in together (wouldn't a guy who wants to cheat postpone that as much as possible?) anyway, what do you guys think? Am I being naive or is he being really truthful?

I know a guy who has a girlfriend who downloads the app when he's bored to browse women and talk to girls for shits and giggles and then deletes it again when he's done. I think it's messed up and would never be ok with my boyfriend doing that. It is possible yours is doing the same thing and just forgot to delete it. I think his excuse of his friend wanting to show him a girl he was talking to is a BS lie, clearly his friend has a phone if he has tinder so why couldn't he just show him on his phone?

I don't see why he should keep the app if his friend was just showing him a girl. If he REALLY doesn't use it, then he'll have no problem deleting it.

If he doesn't delete it that's a red flag.

I don't believe him. Here's what I would do, get a friend to make a fake tinder account and search for him.

Check his phone in a couple days and if he stil has the app then confront him about it. It's just common sense, if you're in a relationship you don't have those things on your phone.

Sounds good. It's just that he has never lied to me in the past and has been cheated on before by his ex, as well as made his best friend's girlfriend admit that she had cheated, so I never felt that he would cheat. But I also don't want to look stupid. Thanks for the advice!

I don't believe his explanation. If his friend was talking to a girl on Tinder, he would have showed him on his phone. You should have opened the app to find out for sure. He's telling the truth if it's his friends profile, which I highly doubt it would be. There's no way for him to view his friends conversations or matches from his own profile.

it's next to impossible for him to see some other girl that his friend found unless he actively used the app. i think he might be trying to cheat
