Is he the right one?

I am dating this guy, he's good.. It's just been 3 days since we're dating.. We're getting to know each other but we've had crush on each other for more than a month.. He told me that he cheated on his ex when he was 15, but he regrets it now.. He even brought up the topic of his childhood love and told that she's the only woman he's ever loved ans they met a few days ago, and he wanted her back but he got to know that she's getting married against her will.. They continue to remain in a platonic relationship.. I am somewhat not okay with this.. Should I confront him, is he a red flag?

Okay yeah, after thinking about it more I can understand why all that stuff would worry you. 3 days is really soon to be getting into all that heavy ex relationship stuff, especially since you guys just started dating. I'd probably feel kinda weird about it too if I was in your shoes.

I mean the cheating thing from when he was younger is something a lot of guys probably regret looking back, so I don't know that I'd hold that totally against him. But still bringing up how much he loved his ex and wanted her back even though they just saw each other, that's pretty rough to hear so early on with someone new. I know if I was dating a girl and she kept talking about her ex like that I'd be kinda doubting where her head was really at, you know?

And the fact they're still staying "friends" even though she's getting married, I don't really like the sound of that either if I'm being honest. I can see why you'd be worried maybe he's not fully over her or something. I'd just be afraid she might still have some kind of hold on him, and I wouldn't want to get more serious with someone if their ex was still hanging around messing with their head.

I think if it was me, I'd definitely want to talk to him about all of it. Tell him how it's making you feel uncomfortable and see how he reacts. If he really cares about you too he should want to make you less worried, not get mad that you brought it up. Pay attention to what he says for sure. As long as he seems willing to try clearing the air and making you a priority, I'd say maybe give it a bit more time. But you've gotta trust your gut - if after talking it out you still don't feel good about it, don't feel like you have to stay either, you know? Just do what feels right for you. Hope it works out! Let me know what happens after you bring it up with him.

Huge red flag it shows he will cheat or emotionally cheat on you! He flat out said he won't love you as much as her on one of the first times dating!

It's only been three days, so I can't say he's the right one, but the fact that he was open about cheating in his previous relationship is a good sign that he recognised and learnt from the experience, so all of this to say that him opening up to you appears to be him building trust with you, which could lead to a very strong and serious relationship.
