Broke up with partner of 17years in May. He has been living here as we have mortgage but he is sorted and moved this week.

i have been chatting online to some one for a few weeks and we are going to meet.

i didn’t want people to see and judge me with being soon but really feel a connection to this person and have arranged to meet in a hotel with bar.

also shared photos of face but not body I am really overweight have told him this he says that’s second nature and likes me for my personality yet I can’t help fear being rejected

am I doing the right thing? Is it too soon? We have room booked but separate beds?

All you can do is be confident, and be yourself. If there’s no chemistry, he doesn’t like your body, etc etc then that’s his loss, but it’s also a risk you took (or at least was an obstacle to consider) when opting to meet someone online.

Self esteem and self love is very important. Even if things don’t work with him, you want to be able to look at yourself in the mirror and see a prize. If you don’t, then how could he, you know? I’d say up until the date, practice instilling positive affirmations in yourself. Start switching those negative thoughts with positive ones, and before you know it your confidence will shine☺️

Frankly, it’s nobody’s Business what you do with your personal. Part of me thinks it is cute while the other part thinks you’ve lost your mine…17 years absent dating.
