Most men are up front about what they want.
Stop the games and return this behavior. Let them know where you stand, clearly, on all things and keep communication open and you will have a much higher success rate.

The women doing things differently are the ones who take care of their looks, those are the ones with no issues finding a partner.

I will say that being thin and attractive has helped, but back when I was a doormat, guys ruthlessly tried to play me. there's a certainly level of self respect that women have to repels the players and only attracts the loyal men.
