Is there a reason guys will get with a conventionally unattractive woman?

I'm partly asking for myself too. I'm a big girl, cute face, but big so. unattractive conventionally. (At least I'm honest with myself) but I pulled some good looking dudes in the past BUT they had toxic and manipulative streaks. They were good in the beginning but then started to pull the works. I feel like I'm a target for certain men. I'm 30 lbs down, so I'm hoping it increases the chances of landing a good guy. Is there a reason a guy would go from a thin and pretty chick to an unattractive one? Need to know what I'm up against because that's been the pattern.

Well some guys just want sex and some guys’ want more than just sex , just because you are a bigger girl doesn’t mean guys’ won’t like you , I have a bunch of male friends that prefer a bigger girl for more than just sex , so everyone has their own preferences of what they like and don’t like. Probably because of what’s on the inside. That’s what happens though when bad people try to use you. Especially if they don’t feel like you really get flattered as much as other women. That may be how they get to you.

in your case it's cause they probably either have a thing for big girls (you can also simultaneously like skinny ones too) or they thought you were easy to control, easy & needy while still being still able to make do sexually with your body.
in general i think when dudes go for unattractive women, its usually cos they're not very attractive themselves or they have a kink for it

It is not exclusively physical beauty that attracts us to a women. Her character or nature is a large part of it.

Leaving a pretty chick is quite understandable if she has a bad nature. I reverse discriminate because the hot girls are used to getting what they want and make poor partners. A nice girl is likely to weigh her partner's needs at least equal to her own.

Really a girl just has to be attractive enough for her guy to get hard over her. That's the upside.

The downside is exactly the same. Knowing you have a vagina is enough for some guys but the attraction might just last for that night.

I'm answering specifically about rounder women and not intonational woman as a whole.

Unfortunately most men are not into rounder women, fortunately some do have a fetish for rounder women and prefer them. Your odds of getting a guy without that fetish is pretty low since your already in your 30's unless you happen to be rich and into male gold diggers. Its not easy but if you manage to eat healthy and do enough exercise the your pool of partners will grow and give you more options that are both attractive and not toxic. If not going to do exercise i recommend you try and play by your strengths. Most men like loyal women with low body counts. Being funny or interesting is a plus for partnership. As for the looks department most round women tend to have larger breasts and if you are one of them you better use that to your advantage.

To add something that hasn't already been said, some men originating from cultures featuring an essentialist vision, actually consider overweight and above as desirable traits for a woman, because overweight is symbolically associated with "good breeder" and "financial stability" in this vision of womanhood.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. What one guy thinks is ugly, another guy will find beautiful. Women are so horrible to each other, there is no way you can say if another women is beautiful or not.

Yes, out of pure desperation. Looks mean everything to men. If they are pulling from the bottom of the barrel, their situation must be dire.

I personally would never date an unattractive girl no matter how great her personality was, no matter how much we had in common. Never!
