Why do the most attractive women date unattractive men?

have you ever noticed that the more beautiful the woman, the more likely she is to be with an ugly guy? I have noticed this phenomenon. I"ve had 4 very beautiful female friends who ended up dating or marrying men way below their league. No, these guys aren't rich either. Besides this , I see it quite often on the streets too where a pretty girl is sitting on a date with an unattractive guy.

Now I"m not saying that every single hot woman on earth is with an ugly guy. I'm sure there are women who date men in their own league. But there is just a pattern I have been observing through the years.

Meanwhile, it is the average looking girls that always end up dating other average looking guys. Unattractive girls usually tend to date other unattractive guys...

I dunno. My wife and I have spoken about this. We like to people watch and it seems to us there are a lot of young, relatively fit, young men in our orbit with generally unfit, slightly overweight to obese young women. I can think of maybe two or three women who chose men “below them” but a lot of men who have settled for women we would agree could be more fit. Having said that, some of those women are absolutely wonderful human beings who are amazing people. It’s superficial to just asses their physical appearance as their worth. My wife and I put a lot of effort into our health so it’s a bit of a focal point for us.

I see the reverse happen just as much. But I figure those people see the person they are with as attractive, and that is fine.

Same reason i'm asking myself why the most ugly guys have the most gorgeous females, and that answer is because "they are smart" (the females), they know that the beauty won't last and if they go forward in age they might not have the chance to find a good guy anymore, maybe just "players" that might look at them as just a "piece of meat"...🤷‍♂️, so they want to re-assure themselfs that they are not left out.

I notice that too... I think it's because they see them as the safe option... I also noticed some attractive girls don't really realize how attractive they are and see themselves as average lol.. And a lot of times a pretty girl would date an unattractive guy for the attention... to always look better than their partner and appear as the most valuable out of the two..

no... they usually know they're attractive. From my experience, its the pretty / average girls that are most obsessed about their appearance while the gorgeous ones are less obsessed.

I can't answer that but I own a mirror and I know I'm a 6 on a good day and it was way easier getting a date with a very attractive woman than trying to date an average looking one. It's a total mystery to me.

they have great personalities, and they aren't shallow, so they don't feel the need to date pretty boys.

These guys either have money, are friend-zoned, or the date is one these "foodie calls" that 1 in 3 women admit to doing.

They views those guys as the safe option. A safe guy to settle down with. Someone who won't cheat and will be a good father. And I'm sure they become more attractive to THEM as time goes on. Looks can grow on someone.
