Future usually means more of a romantic entanglement. This is something you really ought to be asking him though.
This question came out of nowhere and I’m curious as to why he asked it. I told him that I don’t have the answer right now and we both enjoy each others company.
I didn’t mind that he asked me that. We’ve been seeing each other and talking for about a month.
Gotcha. Yeah, in a situation like that "future" definitely means dating.
If I’m curious as to why he asked that question, should I ask him or it’s obvious?
It should be obvious. And honestly, you'd do more harm than good, by asking him in your situation. I've found that a lot of women get really intense and hyperfixate on things like that in relationships, and it just creates a really uncomfortable situation.
I agree. I was just thinking about it after a month of us talking and seeing each other i was just surprised and glad he asked the question first. Another thing is the thought of him makes me feel happy but when I see him and want to ask him something I feel nervous or intimated and I don’t want to feel like that. I think I’m just too much in my head and I just want to be myself around him which I kind of am.

I responded to him saying that I don’t have the answer right now but what I do know is that i enjoy his company and being around him. He replied that’s a good answer and he’s good with that for right now.
