Hey guys! Please be sincere, is it a turn off when a woman shows interest in you by texting you first? Also, if she texts you often during the early stages of the relationship? Just curious.

Update: thank you so much to all of you for your responses 🙏 most of you told me it’s not a turn off to text a guy. However, I ask this question because there is this guy I really like from work, we have been kinda flirting/teasing each other for weeks. Last week I decided to text him, he was very responsive and kind for the first few messages, then he ghosted me. I didn’t text anything scary like telling him I liked him or anything crazy, it was just teasing him in a friendly way.

Update 2: ok he finally replied to my text (2 days later), but still… that’s too long haha. Should I take it as a hint that he is not interested? Or at least he is interested but he didn’t like me texting him? Do I answer his message or is this a hint that I am annoying him? Thank you so much to everyone 🙏

Why would it? Someone whose genuinely showing me interest is showing me she’s as interested in me as I am in her. If I’m doing all the work more then likely either she isn’t interested or she’s one sided.

A relationship even in the beginning should be two sided where both people are showing effort into one another and seeing if you’re compatible for something serious or if it’s better to end things in good terms so both people are able to find someone whose a better fit.

I am always on the go I'm always doing something and things just go over my head sometimes if a girl was to like me in that way so I say yes. If a girl likes me I would like it if she texted me and no it's not a turn off it kind of makes my day really

I don't mind at all if she texts first at all. "often" is a subjective word. I hated being texted every day after work from one girl when I just want to relax after a hard day at work.. and she wanted to text for like an hour every day. I couldn't stand it

If she is attractive she can do pretty much anything to get my attention and it won't be a turn off. If she is unattractive nearly anything she does will be a turn off whether she is intentionally trying to get my attention or not.

No. Why should it? It's not much different than accidentally on purpose dropping your hanky in front of a guy you're interested in, in hopes that he'll spot it, pick it up and try to give it back to you, thus starting a conversation with you.

Please listen to this: DO NOT rely on texting, social media, etc to start or further a potential relationship, especially in the early stages AND especially when you have face to face access to him everyday. You said you've been flirting with him FOR WEEKS. Why would you turn to texting when you some momentum going? You see him at work and interact in person (the type of interaction that has value) it's like driving a Ferrari as fast as you want and saying "Nope, hold on, I have to stop and jump into that shitty 20 year old Ford that barely runs. That will be even better!"
No, no, no. I know my car analogy is corny but it's 100% true. People fight me on this a lot, but all texting will do is ruin any chance of some meaningful developing. Of course there are very rare exceptions. But 9/10 times I'm right.
Guys HATE texting and women just can't! won't understand this for some reason. That's why you shouldn't feel discouraged that he dropped off. He is telling he doesn't want to communicate that way. Don't dick around, start chatting with him Monday (or whenever) at work and pretend like all this texting shit was just temporary insanity on your part.
