Would you consider getting engaged under a year too soon?

It depends on the relationship what’s right for someone maybe isn’t right to someone else. But if someone’s going way too fast rushing into marriage it’s a red flag. It’s as big as a red flag of the other extreme of future faking.

You have to wonder if someone has a motive for trying to lock you down so quickly and why…. Is it a genuine place of love or could or be something else it really just depends.

Every relationship is different and moves at its own speed if two people know deeply it’s meant to be why waste time on the other hand waiting 10 years is too long. But again…. Maybe for someone that’s what’s right.

No. I asked my wife to marry me exactly a year after we met.

I quite a few long-term girlfriends in my life, but eventually realized, for one reason or another, that we couldn't be life-long partners.

With my wife, I was sure.
We got married almost exactly a year after I proposed. We've been happily married now for almost 28 years, had LOTS of fun, and built a wonderful life together. We trust each other completely and are 100% dedicated..

we've been together a year and a half now and i think it might happen on Christmas or New Year's or Valentine's Day, or the Stanley Cup (which means we might never get married 🫨)

normally Valentine's Day would be too cheesy for me but we unexpectedly got together on Valentine's Day

I personally know people who had "whirlwind" courtships, immediately followed by weddings within just a few months and those people are still happily married today.

For me it would depend on how much time we've spent together. If we see each other once every two weeks, it may not be. If we've lived together for 9 months it may be enough time to make an informed decision.

Nope. There are very few perfect girls out there, and if a guy meets one, he should seal the deal. Everyone else can take their time deciding if it's worth it or not.

at your age maybe not, if you have the goal of having a kid. but in gen yes. i think you should wait at least 4 years before getting engaged

No cause if you rush into getting engaged too soon then that’s not good cause then you are rushing stuff

Not really , sometimes you know it’s right, I got married after a year and it lasted 17 years until getting divorced
