How do you stop caring about a man who won’t even give you the time of day?

1 year ago a close friend of mine told me he was interested in me and we immediately got into a relationship because we assumed our chemistry as friends would be just as good in a relationship. We only dated for a month before he broke up with me out of nowhere and told me it was him not me. To me there was no sign and everything was going perfect up until the morning of. It was so short and stupid you’d think I’d be over it now but I’m not. I still see him at friend outings because we’re in the same large friend group but he completely ignores me while I still wonder about him and hope to catch his eye every time. How do you get over a man who won’t even acknowledge you?

It’s cowardly to simply ignore someone but at the end of the day you feel hurt and need to allow yourself to grieve. You have closure at the end of this it wasn’t meant to be that’s the first step.

As far as finding someone else just take your time and when the right time comes around you’ll know it some people are too desperate to jump into a relationship that’s worse then the last as a rebound.

You’re maybe still in the denial stage it may take time you may need to cry it out, punch something, or whatever. But at the end of the day you may also find a hobby or something too to keep you occupied as well as work on yourself for the next person.

By accepting it's over. I seems you still have not done thar. And the fact that his a friend makes it harder because you have to see him constantly. I had the same thing happen with a woman I worked with. I had to see her every day. Luckily for me she left the firm for a few months. It gave me time enough to get some separation. When she came back it was a new ballgame. I cut her off completely. She responded by Chasing ME, for the next 3 years. With me rejecting her everytime. I don't know if she's fully done now. But it doesn't matter because I'm OK with it now. I've moved on. If she makes a play for me again I'll just reject her again.

You need to separate yourself from this guy by any means necessary. Only then can you heal.
