Am I trippin? Kinda new to the dating game…?

So I’ve been talking to the guy for the past 4 months. He’s actually someone from my past. (We went to school together and have always been really good friends and dated briefly….. lost touch and reconnect after 12 years lol). We agreed to take it slow and get to know each other all over again. After about a month of talking and 2 dates, he started acting weird. We’ve made plans to hang out but they never happen…. usually on his part. Then it started that he’s never available always busy…. he works a lot and has a young daughter that he usually has on his days off. But he’s been out doing stuff like football games, stuff with friends. He also said his car broke down and since then he’s been trying to get a new one….. we live 30 mins apart. We've also been trying to plan a trip together. But anyways, 90 days have gone by (I hung around cause we was taking it slow) and I haven’t seen him and we barely talk/text. I’ve asked him multiple times if maybe we should put this in hold or maybe we should just go our separate ways. I’ve asked if he’s maybe in a situationship, lost interest or maybe right now is not the right time….. he says everything is ok nothing has changed. But now im just fed up and I told him we just need to go our separate ways until he’s ready…. he says im Trippin. Am I? Lol i don’t think I am but wanted to get another opinion.

BTW…. we’re both in our 40s and I’ve been single for 5 years. I feel like since we’re such good friend like I thought we were he should be able to tell me what’s going on. I’m not asking for details but just something so I can know my next move.

Who is the person who contacts who, more?
Do you contact him just as much as he contacts you? It sounds like this one might not be the one.. you shouldn't be feeling like this at the start of something your excited about.

Yes it’s usually me contacting him. At first it was him texting and calling literally all day but he just stopped one day. So I stopped and he called me asking why he hadn’t heard from me, jokingly.

He's probably saying you're tripping to take the attention away from him when in-fact you are most likely right and he's lost interest. if a bloke likes us usually we know straight away, he won't leave much off the table and men usually don't hide much

if he still doesn't act more interested (or doesn't gives you what you need mentally as well as physically) then find a new lover and watch him go
