What do you think if you see these things on dating profiles?

• If someone has been single for 7-8 years and has been on dating apps the whole time

• If the person's pics on his online dating profiles are 5+ years old

• If the person is mid-late 20s and listed their job on their dating profile as DoorDash/Grub Hub/Uber Eats/etc.

What do you think?

Also, if someone seems attractive and nice, but has not been on a date in several years, is that a red flag or maybe just picky/bad luck/etc?

I don’t do online dating for many reasons, but I can get into that in a bit after I answer the initial question.

Someone being single for a long period of time, okay this just depends is it because nobody wants this person or because he’s just waiting for the right person. Are many people on dating apps because they can’t get somebody in real life? Yes. But maybe some people need a break, maybe some have a lot to offer but get rejected often because it’s not the right person, or maybe the the other way around where they do have options but again they just aren’t right. Depends on why he’s single. I think that being with someone whose much more exclusive is better then being with someone whose dated tons of people.

Old pics, it’s weird that someone wouldn’t have anything newer. Possible catfish? Possible that he’s scared someone he knows will see? Scammer? Could be many things maybe something happened that altered his appearance.

The job I think what’s in a persons heart means more then a job title. Especially because some people start humble and eventually work their way up. But again what’s in the heart should matter more then a job title.

The whole not being on a date thing again just really depends I also think being with someone whose been single for a while can build a stronger connection.

At the end of the day if you just have a bad feeling you can tell him you’re not feeling it and leave it at that. That gives you both closure and you can move on.

Online dating isn’t my thing be because you point blank have no idea who you’re talking to. It could be someone completely different using someone else’s photos in a effort to scam you, extort you, even more nefarious things where people have been murdered, kidnapped, raped, etc. So you do have to be careful.

Even if it is genuinely the person there is scary people out there who have questionable histories. Felons, sex offenders, and just other people who have not so good backgrounds whose intentions could be anything from facetious, to nefarious, to downright evil.

Some people aren’t even pure evil but are just trolls wasting peoples time. It’s why I just avoid it.

Also some people don’t intend on dating they just want attention to feed their egos.

1. Its kinda weird? I just got on them recently but it would be strange to not find someone within 1-2 years with how many people are on the apps.

2. Sounds like a catfish, would avoid that person

3. I dont really care about their income as long as they are consistent going to work, no part timers.

4. wouldn't bother me. I don't know what other people saw but when I see them as attractive and nice then thats all that matters for me. Maybe even a plus because theyre not as burned out from dating as me.

If she's a woman.

• Single for 7-8 years. I would question 1. Her commitment to actually finding a relationship 2. Her ability to be realistic when it comes to dating.
• Pics 5 years. Old... that's a long time. This is kind of dependent on how old she is to begin with. Dating is a meat market unfortunately. And I would assume she's trying to hide the fact that she's now 5 years. Older. If you were a guy on dating apps. You'd be amazed how many 40+ yr. Old women look like they are 25.🙃😆
• As far as her occupation. I judge people neither by income nor education and I despise people who do. But as long as she's not hiding who she is I wouldn't have a problem with it. I don't care where you're at. I care where you're going. Your dreams and aspirations and what you're doing to get there. A person's passions is where it's at.

I disagree its hard to meet new people and dating apps give you the opportunity to meet a lot of potential interested people quick than hoping you run into them by chance
