Feeling the loss, entirely.

Accepting that any expectations you had will not be met. Any emotions you might feel is to be felt. After a while, after that honest venting, after acceptance, you'll feel different. A different person somehow. And it will feel much better

I've found that a change in scenery helps. Hangout with someone new. Take up a new hobby. Something along those lines.
