Does anyone else not like to tell their mother about when they’re going on a date?

I know the kind of things she gossips and repeats about my brothers or other relatives. So I just tell her that I’m meeting a friend. But then the assumption may be that I’m not interested in dating or maybe I am asexual or something. I don’t know. But unless I’m in a relationship with somebody, why would I want to tell of every failed date with a woman that I had? It’s just uncomfortable and awkward for me.

I stopped discussing dates with my parents or pretty much anyone at 16. At 30 there is zero chance I would even think about discussing it.
