In the 2005 movie, Fantastic Four, Reed and Sue's relationship ended because Reed thought there were too many variables to consider with moving into an apartment with Sue. Was Reed right or wrong about there being variables into moving into an apartment with Sue?

Well, you do have to consider quite a few things when you move in together. One thing is the bill arrangement. Who pays rent/mortgage, electric & gas, water (if none of that is included in rent), and food? Will you split costs evenly? You also have to consider how both of you live. Is one of you a neat freak or a slob? What do you both consider “dirty?” What do the chores look like and how are they split (laundry, house cleaning, etc.)? Who pays for things to get fixed when things break down? Do either of you have kids or pets? What’s their schedule like? Is there enough space for both of you and your possessions without feeling crammed in?


These are just a few basic questions that should be sorted out. If your relationship is strong, then it shouldn’t be too much of a big deal to hammer all this out, but it is important. I’ll say that, even with just these things, there are plenty of variables to consider. However, if you can have an open and honest conversation about everything, then things should fall into place.
