Is moving in with your girlfriend/boyfriend after just dating for a short period of time a good thing?

A friend of mine is going through that. She had been dating this guy for lets say maybe 9 or 10 months but she is unsure if she may wait just a bit more time to get to know the guy better in order to come up with that decision or jsut keep dating him as they had been doing so far.

9 or 10 months should be more than enough time to determine what living together would be like.

You can move in with your partner at any time when you’re both ready. There’s no set time frame. If she is feeling unsure, then I would recommend that she waits. Don’t move in together until you’re both 100% sure. My partner and I found a place after we’d only been together for 9 months. We’ve been together for almost 3 years now.

If you are fortunate enough to find someone who cares about you that much, then it may well be a "good thing".

I’ll say housemates not roommates.

I think roommates for a couple only should be for Fiancée or Fiancé.
