Is it a turn-off when a woman is interested in something that is typically a male interest/hobby?

There are a few hobbies/interests of mine which are typically masculine. For example, I like watching Formula 1.

I know I should just be myself and I know I should avoid people who don't like me for who I am, but I just want to know if it's a turn-off.

Okay, if your mother is German and your father is French, then you're half German and half French, right? So if your mother is a woman and your father's a man, what does that make you? A person with some combination of masculine and feminine traits, that's what. Typically, what attracts us (assuming we're straight; not sure how it works for other folks) is the traits of the opposite sex- but if you go TOO far, TOO continuously into it, it gets annoying and starts grating on you.

That's much more than "having some typically male interests" and more "communicating only through belching for twenty years", though; sharing interests is a GOOD thing.

Usually men don't care about woman's hobbies, men only care if the woman is pretty. I think that tomboys are fine, and you look feminine, so it not like you that much of a tomboy.

A ''tomboy'' is a woman who dresses and acts like a male, but I understand what you're trying to say. I don't fully agree, I know many men only care about looks when they're looking for a woman to have sex with, but I don't see why they wouldn't be happy to have something in common with a woman as the relationship progresses, my boyfriend is absolutely happy with the fact that we have a few interests/hobbies in common, he can have fun with me.

If you have boyfriend then you already know that it's not a turn-off, common hobbies can be nice, but it's more important for friendship than relationship, though girlfriend can be a friend.

He's an atypical male though, he's bisexual and a little feminine in many aspects.
I think an amazing partner *should* be your best friend, first and foremost.

It is absolutely NOT a turnoff when a woman is into something that is typically male. It's a huge turn on for me. I really wish I didn't have to ski alone for decades. I really wish I could watch a football game with a woman who had some interest in and understanding of the game. Etc. etc. etc.

If she's not into it, at least a willingness to explore and experience new things would be nice. But the lack of that in women is why I now generally don't want a wife or a steady girlfriend. I want the freedom to do the things I love.

I do not think there are any gender specific hobbies, sports etc. people like what they like and watch it, do it. Anyone getting upset with someone doing something they consider gender specific is a fuckwit.
