Young women-could you date a guy your age if a few dates in he shared that he wore a wig? (yes, that is a wig in my picture, no it’s not obvious)?

I’m 26 M, have a type of diffuse hairloss similar to alopecia. Tired of hats and I can’t tan so bald just looks sickly on me. Got into high quality custom wigs for men, lasts about 8 months of daily use. Does come off at night but doesn’t have to etc.

The support has been huge and very positive and not just from family or friends either. I love actually looking my age.

BUT I’m curious how dates would see it-if it’s a big issue or not, I would share pretty early on so it wouldn’t be hidden from them.

A wig would freak me out even looking realistic. I probably wouldn’t continue dating a guy who revealed he wore a wig

Dealbreaker for me-not because of the wig but due to baldness.

by the way from the way your face is shaped it seems like you would be handsome even when bald bro. Doubt you will run into much issues, it would only be a problem if you keep it a secret which you dont do.

If you can grow a longer stubble I think you could balance out beeing bald even better, basically having the best of two world with your torpee

I think I look okay bald but I’m 5’10 and lean. I also can’t tan to save my life. So it leans to looking sickly.

In regards to the facial hair my condition affects all hair on my body. Everything is thin doffusely. No bald spots just thinned. So that’s about as long as I get facial hair before it starts to look crappy.

Ultimately, the lack of hair has really made dating difficult. I’m confident and well spoken but not interested in dating women older than me and 24-28 year old women just seem against it, not willing to wait until I’m 30 either.

5'10 is allright I am 5'11 only just a little bit taller and didn't run into issues there.

Does it only seem that way or have you actually beeing rejected for beeing bald? It sounds like you're making up insecurities yourself.

Are you completly bald under the wig and on the sides?

Yes, as stated I am completely bald and yes it’s absolutely been the hair. I don’t think I’m a terrible looking guy otherwise and a good deal of women absolutely have even commented on it. Remember I’ve been bald since 18. So women my age expect hair. Particularly attractive women my age. I’m not letting a condition I have no control over make me lower my standards. And there’s been a handful who rejected me much more gracefully but through friends of friends it came back; i just can’t date bald.

Again, I’m not willing to date a girl older than me.
