I lost my hair at 19 and shaved my head. Well turns out I have a skin condition that affects the scalp and really messes up the skin there so shaved isn’t going well either. I bought a very quality wig that is indistinguishable from real hair, even to the touch. I must emphasize good wigs you truly can’t tell. I’m very open about it, coworkers and others all know I wear it and I’m not insecure about it. I wear a wig, so what? I like how I look in it, no different that extensions or hair dye or makeup etc. everyone around me is astounded to know it’s fake and very chill about it. Honestly I think just being open about it is what helps, hiding and being way too protective if it gives off the insecure vibe.
anyway what are your thoughts?

Bald is a 1000 times better than wearing a wig.
You didn’t read my post did you? I do shave my head and have a good head shape. But have a skin condition that makes the scalp very unsightly.
On top of this, and I’m genuinely asking not arguing, why can’t a guy wear a wig if it makes him happy? It’s not tied to insecurity if he’s honest and open about it. Plus true quality wigs are totally indistinguishable from real hair even to touch. I’ve seen lots of comments like “wigs are so obviously fake” no, you’re only noticing the bad ones. It’s really no different than someone dyeing hair or putting in extensions etc,
Regardless you’re certainly entitled to your opinion I’m just trying to understand it. If you really met a guy you like but he wore a wig because he liked it, that would be a dealbreaker? No shade just asking.
