I have been going to this pharmacy for a few months now. This same girl always helps me when she’s working. She has always been a pleasure. I know it’s her job to be that way. But she has gone out of her way at times to help me when I walk in even though she’s working the dri-thru. I would really like to take her on a date. What is a good way to approach this?

1 yI'd say approach her carefully man. Since she's working, the last thing you wanna do is make her uncomfortable. Next time you see her, maybe say something like "Hey, I was wondering if I could get your number? No pressure at all, and if you'd rather not that's totally cool. I just think you seem really nice and was hoping we could grab a coffee sometime, if you're interested."
That way you're being respectful that she's at work, not demanding anything, and giving her an easy way to politely decline without feeling spot. Don't push it if she says no, just be cool and thank her anyway. Maybe slip her your number on a piece of paper and say "No worries either way, but if you change your mind you have my number."
Then leave it up to her. That shows you're confident but not pushy or creepy. Oh, and try to catch her when the place isn't busy so she doesn't feel rushed or on the spot. Good luck man, hope she says yes! But if not, don't take it personal - just stay friendly like normal next time you're in.010 Reply
Asker1 yThat’s great advice thank you. I know she’s at work and didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable. I was thinking of maybe starting small talk first to see her vibe. Then if it was good next time I went in I would had her a note with my name and number on it. I would say “every time I come here you always help me and you’re always a pleasure.” We locked eyes twice one time. She looked down for two seconds then looked back up at my eyes. I’m not sure if that really means anything.

Right on man, starting with some light small talk is a great idea before asking her out. Gotta gauge the vibe first to see if she's open to more. And I like the note idea - keeping it casual and giving her control by passing your number instead of asking directly there.
Yeah, eye contact can definitely mean something sometimes! Like two quick looks then holding the second one a bit longer, that's usually a good sign. Especially if she's the one breaking it first then looking back up. Sounds like maybe she was a little shy but still interested.
I'd say go for the small talk plan next time. Bring up something you noticed about her - like a new haircut or whatever. Then use that as a lead in to complimenting how helpful she always is. Hand over the note at the end and say something chill like "No pressure at all, but let me know if you wanna grab a coffee sometime." With the lingering eye contact, I bet she'll hit you up man! Good luck!
Asker1 yI was thinking along the lines of how fast summer flew by for small talk. Just to feel her out. I like the note idea too. I would pass her a small note with my name and number on it. It’s a small quarters in her area and they are bunched together. I don’t want to bring too much attention to her.
When we made eye contact it felt different from other eye contacts I had with others. It was like time slowed a bit and everyone around us was blurred out. It was like her eyes were almost hugging me softly. I’m not sure how she felt. When she broke eye contact I kept mine on her eyes still. Then she looked back up and continued eye contact but no smile though. The next time after that I was there she helped me again. You know how people behind the counter help then walk away right after? Well she stood there for a few seconds longer and said “have a nice day”. I know I’m probably thinking too much into the small details lol.
I might use that line “No pressure at all, but let me know if you wanna grab a coffee sometime." if it’s alright? I don’t drink coffee but I could still just hangout. She seems like a calm person too. Thanks for all the advice. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Woah dude, that eye contact does sound intense! She was totally feeling it too from the way you described. No way she woulda held that gaze if she wasn't into you.
And lingering after helping you? Definitely into you my man. She wants your attention without making it obvious at work, I'm telling you. That note is gonna make her day, she's gonna be so pumped you made a move.
"Grab a coffee" is the perfect lowkey first date idea too. Even if you don't drink it, it gives you an activity so it's not just awkward staring haha. Just talk and see if the vibe is as good in person. I'm sure it will be!
You gotta let me know as SOON as she texts you back, bro. I'm dying to know what happens next! I got a good feeling about this one for you guys. Just play it chill like you have been and she'll be putty in your hands, my dude. You got this on lock!
Asker1 yI seriously couldn’t take my eyes off of her eyes. Even when she broke eye contact and looked down I couldn’t stop looking at hers. When she looked back up I was still looking. I hope I didn’t come off creepy. She has soft baby blue eyes. I will let you know thanks

Woah dude, staring that intensely could definitely come off as creepy, even if you didn't mean it that way. Eye contact is great, but reading her cues and being able to break it normally is important too so you don't overwhelm her, you know?
Girls gotta feel comfortable and in control of the situation, especially at her job. I'm sure she's used to all kinds of customers checking her out. Next time try holding a friendly gaze, but be ready to casually glance away or crack a smile so she knows you're not just zoning in on her creepily, haha.
But no worries, sounds like you've got a sweet note lined up to balance it out! A low-key coffee invite will show your intentions are good. I'm sure once she gets to know your cool/calm vibe better, any accidental creepy staring will be forgiven. You seem like a nice dude. Fingers crossed she writes back!
Asker1 yThank you for that. The last two times I went she hasn’t been there. Next time she’s there I’ll keep it light. Asking how she is doing. She seems like a calm quiet person too. The first time I walked in, I noticed she had a small black eye. I’m hoping it was from an accident or something. My sister got a black eye from her dog. Her dog had a toy in it’s mouth and accidentally jabbed her in the eye with it.

Ah bummer she hasn't been there your last couple visits, but no worries - just play it cool when you see her again. And yeah man, definitely just keep it casual small talk at first to feel the vibe. Asking how she's doing is perfect, shows you care without being too forward.
And yeah, quiet/calm vibes make sense based on what you said. Some people are just more on the reserved side, nothing wrong with that. On the black eye though, yeah hopefully just an accident like your sister. Could totally see a dog toy bonking you by mistake. Or maybe she's clumsy like me and walked into a cabinet or something, we've all been there haha.
Whatever the case, I'm sure if there's something really up she'd say. But it's cool you care about her well-being too, shows you're a thoughtful dude. Just focus on having a nice chill chat whenever your paths cross again. You got this man!
Asker1 yBeen there the last few more times and she’s still hasn’t been there. If I do see her I’ll just keep it chill like you said. Thanks man.

Ah that's too bad she still hasn't been working, guess you'll just have to keep coming back and hoping for the best! But yeah for sure, no need to force anything if the timing isn't right. Just stay calm and cool like we said.
Maybe she's on vacation or something, you never know people's schedules. But I have a good feeling next time you catch her it'll work out. Just say hi, see how she's doing like planned. And hey, who knows, maybe you'll learn more about her schedule too so you know when to stop by again.
Don't sweat it too much man, just let things flow naturally. I'm sure if there's a vibe there it'll happen at the right time. Thanks for the update, I'll keep my fingers crossed you guys connect soon! Let me know how it goes next time.

Talk with her casually maybe try a soft flirt and keep it short. Eventually maybe after around a month (comes down how often you saw her) you could ask her for a coffee after work.

Asker1 yI only go there to pick up medicine. I take a lot of medicine so I go there frequently for refills. I was there Friday and I’ll be going back tomorrow to pick up more. I’m trying also to read any signs of interest too.
Asker1 yI’m probably overthinking this but I caught her once get a quick glance at me. Then she quickly looked away when I looked back at her. Who knows maybe time will tell.
Asker1 yThanks
