1 yGirly girl for sure. I like a girl that is comfortable being feminine and in her feminine energy. I don't look for masculine traits in a girl.

I always admired that about my bestie. My bestie is a tomboy.

Would you say that you find confidence in a woman to be a turn on for you?
- 1 y
Yes, it's very arousing.
- 1 y
I like all types of men, but probably quieter personalities and in between are my preferences.
- 1 y
Sounds like good taste. I'm pretty shy until I get to know someone pretty well and then I open up a lot if I connect with a woman a like. Some girls prefer outgoing guys but to each their own.
- 1 y
Thanks; I’m attracted often to quieter guys, because they’re often sweeter and more affectionate
- 1 y
Very welcome, I look for the same. You seem emotionally mature, unlike what seems a fair number of people. Tenderness is key

Thank you 🥰. I’ve been through a lot, so it’s forced me to grow up.

I'm sorry, we often learn that way, even when we deserve better. Finding real happiness isn't easy at all (I know). I'm sure you will, you deserve it and he'll be a lucky guy 🤞

Anonymous(36-45)1 yI prefer tomboyish girls.
However, I see here that some people don't know what is the meaning of the word "tomboy", so I'll explain it:
- Tomboyish girls are not "masculine in appearance", they don't necessarily "have short hair", and they are not "ugly".
Ugly women who look like men are called "butch girls", "butchy women" etc.
- Tomboys can't be "hyper-feminine", they are by nature assertive and self-confident.
Tomboys are girls, they can look very hot, but being a tomboy is not the way you look like, it's about the attitude.
- Tomboys don't wear "male clothes", they wear unisex clothes.
Women who wear male clothes (e. g suits & ties) are androgynous, not tomboyish.
- Definition of tomboy is: "Girl who acts or dresses in a boyish way, liking rough outdoor activities".
Basically, tomboyish girls are a type of sporty girls, who don't care about fashion, makeup and other things girly girls like.
- Tomboyish girls also tend to be dominant, but that doesn't mean they are "not straight".

1 yFor what it's worth, I have a lovely girlfriend and she's more or less an exact 50/50 split between girly and tomboy, her own words too... if it were one or the other MAYBE slightly leaning girly, but yeah, lol.
BUT my girlfriend aside, if we were talking just in general and/or under the assumption that I didn't have a girlfriend... girly, I guess.
Nothing wrong with tomboys, but I tend to associate them with women who are really loud and rowdy all the time, trying to show how much of a "cool girl" they are, trying to show how much they hate femininity and everything that comes with it, etc.
Also growing up in school as a child/teen there were a lot of girls who went through an annoying "tomboy phase." Trying to show how superior they were for not being feminine.
Not to imply all tomboys are like that, I've met some really cool tomboys, yeah.
10 Reply2.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. I much prefer girly girls. I adore women who have feminine mannerisms and like to look pretty. But that doesn't mean that they have to be helpless, be afraid of breaking a nail or getting dirty. I mean, a feminine woman can still garden, go hiking, camping, play sports, and do work.

1 yI say something in between. Most women who I've dated fit the "in between" category. I tend to date outdoorsy women, but not full-on tomboys.

1 yThere is nothing hotter then the whole feminine getup. So girly girl for me. Even in jeans, if she puts her hair in a pony tail? wooooo dogggy. that gets me going.
10 Reply Girly for sure. But there are also hyper feminine tomboys. They aren't mutually exclusive. And that's still definitely a turn on. If guess being girly, in any form, is a major turn on for me.

Anonymous(25-29)1 yMen like girly girls, yet 80% of the tomboys are that way because the men in their lives never had a spine to show up or stay around.

Nonsense! Tomboys are usually born that way. I tried to include the article that explains this, but got a message that it contained something that GAG did not like. Very stupid and cryptic message. I guess GAG does not approve of science. Very backward of GAG!! You can find it by Googling "Moment of Science Are Tomboys born or made.
Opinion Owner1 yAlright, I think your point is valid.
What I'm more taking about is women staying in a masculine energy, but this usually happens at a later age.
Thinking about your comment, I have always been a tomboy myself and rarely felt attracted to "girly girl" things - so I guess you're right. But at the same time - as I get older - I wish I was more in tune with my feminine side, but have refrained from doing so as it has become a defence mechanism.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

20 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. I like the confident tom boy type. Ones that doesn’t mind wearing jeans and flannel. Mowing grass, working in the garden and even changing the oil. But can also be a sensitive, sinuous and sexual woman!

1 yGirly girl. I want kids, id like a son to grow up with a good traditional mother as I did and a daughter to see how a girl should be.
Not that I'm hating on tomboys I've been friends with many of them but not as a girlfriend or wife.
10 Reply 2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. Neither. As both are insecure and easily flummoxed
I prefer ladies who are confident in their skin and lives.

Waite... You are both females and in a relationship
the wife is a tomboy and the other is more feminine
How you find out she's the wife then? - 1 y
Because she is a woman? What a silly question.
- 1 y
No
bcos she's the one looking more masculin and is still called wife and you being more feminine and are called husband - 1 y
That's just stupid logic. We are both women and so we are both wives no matter how we dress.
- 1 y
In case you call both of yourselves wives its done
I first thought someone is called husband

1 yMy wife is kinda both. She dresses like a tomboy at home and has some tomboy hobbies and doesn't mind getting dirty, but when we are out she polishes up and is a very girly girl.
10 Reply I like a woman who is versatile. I want a tomboy to play with (play tennis, go hiking, camping, etc.) who isn't afraid to muss her hair or not wear makeup. But. I like a woman who can clean up and look feminine to go for dinner.
