Do you like tomboy girls or girly girls?

Personally I like spunky tomboys myself. I think I might be in the minority. Most guys I believe, prefer pretty but dumb girls. I prefer intelligent girls that have their priorities in order. The kind of girl that will threaten to break your arm if you piss her off; the stereotype-breaking girl.

Tomboy Girls - Spunky and outward attitude with little care of beauty.

Girly Girls - Long, flowing hair and precious dresses; the prom queen type.

I feel like most girls probably are a mix of both personalities. Though, they would probably lean more in one direction than another. I was trying to simplify the question by breaking it into stereotypes. If I could have entered more options for the pole, I would have. I will except in addition to those above:

C - A more feminine tomboy

D - A girly girl with simpler styles and tastes.

Personally, I like a woman who is both, just like I imagine that many women prefer a strong balance of being gruff/friendly and kempt/GNF in men.

I love when a woman wears makeup and feminine clothing, and goes out of her way to impress me. From the first time it ever happened to me, all the way up to this day, I can think of nothing more flattering.

At the same time, though, I also like when she can pull a pair of ratty jeans up over her buttcheeks, strap a pack on her back, and ditch the girly stuff for some camping, hiking, and fishing.

Tomboyish girls are absolutely my favorites, they are naturally beautiful, they don't need makeup, they are assertive, self-confident and sporty - that's what I like in a girl.

I like a specific type of girl. Retro/vintage girls. They're not just girly... they like to wear retro clothing from bygone eras (1950s dresses, 1940s hairstyles, etc).

I could never be with a tomboy though. I'm sick of going out and seeing girls looking like they just got out of bed.

Way more the tom boy type but I make damn sure they're healthy women not dykes. Girly girls seem kind of primitive somehow, very instinctual and not very cerebral, kind of what cave women must have been like I think.

I never said smart girls can't be pretty. I was just going by the stereotypical tomboy, that doesn't typically embrace her outer beauty by wearing tight-fitting or revealing clothes, or wearing cosmetics or painting nails, having there hair done up all fancy. On the contrary, I think there is true beauty in intelligence.

I was not saying that girly girls can't be intelligent. Again, I was bringing the question down to stereotypes to establish a fine contrast between girly girls, and tomboys. I was not, In anyway, saying that those stereotypes are true or accurate. I'm sure there are girly girls that are quite smart; that was simply not the point of the pole, to debate intelligence-to-beauty rates.
