I started chatting with one on FB dating.. She’s absolutely gorgeous , says she is a regular churchgoing Catholic etc… yet she was married to a man who treated her like an ATM, couldn’t hold a steady job, used drugs, and cheated on her repeatedly. So why would you marry him and let him get you pregnant three times? I don’t get it!

Unfortunately some people just have that magnetic effect on people. Maybe he's good looking, athletic, knows the right things to say? It has to be something. For all we know, maybe she had unhealthy family dynamics growing up that contributed in her choice for romantic parter, or even the typical good girl bad boy stereotype.

I know for myself that a lot of toxic, or "bad guys" can be very charming. It is very challenging to break yourself away from that. Especially if you struggle with self worth, or needing validation.
