How to ask out a girl who is in the same friend circle as me?

So I have strong feelings towards this girl in this class I had joined. Fast forward to today, she and I are part of this amazing friend circle. I do like this group and in fact these people are the only good friends I have right now. I enjoy spending time with both this group and of course her as well.

However, as I have a crush on her, I want to at least shoot my shot. But I've some questions.

1. Should I even ask her out? What if things get awkward when she rejects me? I have to see her in class everyday Afterall.

2. When should I ask her out? I've only known these people for about a little more than a month or so... Should I take my time and get to know her more, flirt, make her laugh etc? Or should I do it fast?

3. What to do if she rejects me? Like how do I make things less awkward after we interact in class. I can't completely avoid her as we are part of the same friend group.

Here's what I'd do man:

1. I'd say go for it and ask her out, but do it subtly so it's not super awkward if she says no.

2. Wait a little longer till you really start getting vibes she likes you back. A month is still new. Flirt more, make her laugh, find excuses to chat with her one on one.

3. If she does turn you down, be cool about it. Say no worries, you had to ask. Then CHANGE THE SUBJECT right away and keep talking and hanging like normal. Act like it's not a big deal.

The key is not making things weird if she says no. Show you still just wanna be friends and be in the group. Maybe down the line she changes her mind!

I'd wait a few more weeks till you get closer. Then just casually be like "hey, wanna grab coffee after class sometime?" Keep it light and friendly. This shows interest without heavy pressure.

If she says she just wants to be pals, smile and say okay no problem. Then carry on chatting happily like you would normally. Don't make things awkward - act like it's no biggie either way.

I'm not sure, I had the same issue with a girl in my friend circle, I could never ask her out, I guess I'm too shy.
