I feel so upset and confused now. During the kiss, I asked him to be more gentle multiple times, but he ended up coming back to biting me every time. My lips have been hurting for the past 2 days. I had never kissed a boy before. Also he accidentally slipped and revealed a 4 year long relationship that he had never mentioned before (even though he had told me about his "whole" dating history in detail).

Do I have the right to feel so upset? Is it okay for me to dump him? I am genuinely scared. It was my first kiss ever... I had told him before I wanted my first kiss to be gentle, I was also stalked by adult men in the past so I felt like I needed it to be gentle. Now I feel even more traumatised/upset and would really appreciate some kind words.

You have a complete right to be upset. You asked for what you needed and he ignored you.

I see this as a BIG red flag.

As long as the other relationship is over, THAT doesn't matter. It's his actions from the kissing that are extremely troubling and problematic.

You need to confront this guy immediately and ask him why he didn't listen to you. Maybe HE likes biting lips when kissing, but YOU DO NOT. It's incredible disrespect.

Personally, I wouldn't continue with this guy. I've never had a man bite my lips and cause me pain when kissing. And who wants painful kissing anyway? Something's off with this guy.
