  Because they don't work. They are incredibly shallow. Their very existence has caused issues with dating in general.
  
  Everybody constantly complains about them anyway. They're scams and essentially just rips people off.

None of my friends, that I know of, use them anymore compared to a few years ago. I only knew three girls that used them but didn't have any luck. I knew several guys that did but not to "date" the girls, more just looking for hook ups. Now I don't know of any that use them.
