I've been talking with a guy long-distance (3 states over) for 5 months. We met in person 3 months ago when I flew to him, and spent 9 days with him, becoming intimate. At the time he expressed he wanted more "exposure" to me, and I rolled with it. We didn't put a label on usm 3 months later, I'm about to fly to him a second time. He has dropped hints that he might ask me out officially, and I'm not sure what to do. He wanted exposure to me to see what kind of person I am. I'm not sure what he's gotten from me in these months, but I have definitely shown that I'm willing to put forth the time, effort, and resources to see him.
On the other hand, he has not provided me with any shows of faith. I want to be with him, desperately. I'm 100% committed, and he has said he is, too. But I want to see him follow through on things he has said he would do (introduce me to his parents/visit me).
If he asks me out, I don't know if it would be better to ask him to wait until I see those shows of faith, or to accept. I just don't want to get hurt, and I don't know what to do. Just as he wanted more exposure to me, I'm wanting the same with him.
What should I do?

I definitely think it’s fair to either wait and see if he does his part, or just be done entirely. For one, nobody wants to travel both lengths of a two way road. You know you aren’t asking for too much because you are willing to reciprocate the effort and have already shown as much. Men like him are annoying because it’s like he always wants things proven to him or “exposure” yet he’s too lazy or full of excuses as to why he isn’t (or allegedly can’t) do the same.
Wait till he follows through on what he said he’d do
OMG , please calm down , you are overthinking the entire thing Sabai Sabai ,
Its second time you are going , just see what happens and relax , what in the hell is " official " anyhow? And Frankly it really doesn't matter.
Official means putting a label on it, officially being boyfriend and girlfriend.
