Of late in the manosphere, there has been talk of men getting "six figures" in order to land beautiful women while many guys parrot this idea. I find this idea weird. Don't you think you would only ever attract gold diggers in this fashion? 🤷

Basically you're only dealing with a small pool of women on dating apps and you are all fighting over a small percentage of women. Most people are aware of how awful the dating app experience is. So why deal with trash?

Well you are an exception. I am happy for you. It shows you have character. However, based on my limited, subjective experience here in the UK, I wouldn't say it is the case at all. Good looks and success are not as "subjective" as you think. Ugly guys would be deemed ugly by 90% of the women, if not more. Well, I mean... you wouldn't get it I suppose. You are not a dude. But I am happy for you :)

Maybe it's a British thing then. Because most men in America aren't ugly. They might be average looking but there's nothing wrong with average. It's the average for a reason.

But personality absolutely matters. The problem with dating apps is no personality involved. It's missing the actual real life first impressions of a social interaction. The body language, sound of a voice, everything involved. That's why dating apps don't work as well. Also only attracts shallow people. Because everything is just a picture on there.

You know a lot of the battle is just showing effort. Like clothes and grooming and working out. You'd be surprised at what women notice about guys just from them putting effort into stuff like that. Shows confidence.

I'm aware of that and I am changing what I can. However, there are a few things I cannot change that matter a lot more. So it's a much harder battle. It's easier to fight if you know you have a high chance to win big. It's much more demoralising to fight knowing no matter what you do, the chance for a decent win is not that high.

I mean you gotta believe you can win. That's what confidence is. Believing in yourself. If you have a defeatist attitude people will sense it from a mile away. It starts with accepting yourself first. Which might be hard but it's necessary.

It's hard with a realist personality. If I had a decent chance then yeah, I would have had more confidence. Well, it is what it is. Six figures is hardly "wealth". Maybe if you get to, say, $200K, then it is. But it would be a very poor strategy to advertise one's wealth or income to attract women. Then one will attract women who care about wealth. I would much rather attract a woman who just enjoys being with me.

Girls are definitely attracted by resources. It is the nature of the female beast to like men with money. So you will always get a gold digger no matter what. But some gold diggers are more ambitious that other gold diggers.
