How do you tell someone dating you isn’t a good idea?

Just be honest and say you don't think you're a good fit to date and that you don't want to date because you don't feel like you would be a great person to date. Hopefully they will respect that and understand that you just don't feel like dating.

Then you need to tell them that you don't want to date them and to back off. No means no. If they keep doing it, then that's harassment and you need to tell them that.
