Why would a platonic guy friend completely stop interacting with me, he made it clear we were simply friends?

I was befriended by 2 guys who enjoyed music jamming shared that same passion for music etc. One was dating a guy the other was straight. We literally friend zoned each other lol. Last conversation though was me asking him his opinion on another guy he knew I was going on a date with. Haven’t spoke since. I understand if it was to respect whatever happens with the date but didn’t think he’d care really. Was this actually something more? It’s left me quite hurt and confused. thanks to anybody who has advice. :)

Whether he is or isn’t , is not your problem , it’s his fault for not having the balls to express his true feelings to you , you aren’t a mind reader so you didn’t have a clue , pretty much why you went on a date with another guy. I tell guys’ all the time if you like a girl , Go for it , don’t be behind the bush about it it’s better to have an answer than no answer at all. When I like a girl I just go for it and snag her up before some other guy tries to move in on her , when a girl likes me , she is best to do the same , we aren’t mind readers
