Last week, I went over to a guy (we're also coworkers that work on different shifts) who I ocassionally hang out with 's house. He has previously expressed interest in me for quite a few months even last year, but I had a boyfriend that was didn't allow me to have guy friends at the time (I realized how toxic and emotionally abusive the ex was) so we couldn't do much in that time frame. While I was at his house, he kept trying to kiss and get intimate with me and we ended up cuddling a few times, but I told him that I didn't want to go too fast with things due to a past relationship from a few months ago. He also had just gotten out of a relationship that he said he wasn't into about a few days earlier. The next day, he told me that he thought it would be best if we remain friends. I asked had I done something to turn him off, and he said that i didn't do anything wrong and just thought it was best. I told him that this would have to be a goodbye for now (no hanging out) until I could emotionally process this as it was a quick turn around and he said that he understood. Then when I tried texting him today that I was hoping he was still up for being friends again, he didn't text me back all day (he's been consistently taking a long time responding ever since he decided for us to be just friends). He told me that he rarely does anything and with how this behavior has been consistent this past week, I feel as though it was intentional. I sent a last message saying that I would prefer proper communication instead of this ignoring thing if he would rather us not be friends again. I have yet to hear anything. Why is he behaving like this when he was the one who made this suggestion?

Honestly you sound like you’re way too much to deal w. Maybe he realized that. I can u Serrano why he would think that way. If I asked a girl to be friends but she wasn’t ready, making me hang around eating? Hell no. I’d move on too. Like ok what made it ok now to be my friend. But too you were cuddling w him giving him mixed signals. Sounds like you didn’t even really like him in that way. I would think you’d try to use him, to keep him around like a boyfriend, to do things for you, be there for you but not sleep w him. So yes I could see why he wouldn’t want to deal w you.
Him and I were already friends before this happened. He knew that I was in a relationship for most of the months and that so had to recover from it. He recently just got out of a relationship a few days earlier which I pointed out to him and said that was sort of the reason why we shouldn’t take it so fast. He initiated all of those moves including the cuddling knowing that I wasn’t a fan of taking things fast after both getting out of relationships. I didn’t use him for anything in the one or two times that we hung out as I always paid for my own things if we decided to go somewhere. I made sure to tell him that I needed some space after the whiplash that was those two days where he decided that it would be best to be just friends after all of those things (where he again told me that I didn’t do anything wrong or upset him). I was just wondering why he was acting like he was the one that needed the space and didn’t want to talk when he was the one that decided to be just friends in the first place the day after all of this was done.
I was just wondering why he was acting like the one that needed space and didn’t want to talk when I processed the whiplash of him acting like he wanted to be more than friends to just friends and wanted to just be friends with him too*
Let him be. If he wants more maybe he will let you know.
Yeah, I don’t think I’m going to talk to him very much anymore despite him saying that he’s up for us being friends. His actions are starting to irritate me now.
I wouldn't.
Because you are WAY too much work. The juice isn't worth the squeeze to him.
