I don't trust people like that normally. I'd have to trust she's not going to be trying to move in or pull something shady. She could sleep there maybe, but she needs to get the fuck out during the day. I'd REALLY have to trust this woman and that don't come easy.

I'd also look into the local laws on this... because I've heard of women doing that and then basically taking your place over by using the legal system. So depending on where my home is, that would be another factor to consider. Imagine if she hits herself with a hammer and calls the cops, tells the cops you beat her, she gets to stay while you spend months in jail, long enough that she tries to pull some common law marriage sort of deal or one of those? Fuck all that and some women really are evil like that.

And women need to accept that most straight men are not going to waste their time/effort being platonic “friends” with women because more often then not the woman gets a lot more out of it then vice versa.

Reason being is their unspoken expectation that the man is supposed to be “supportive” around a female friend (make her feel protected in public, be patient with her emotional issues, make sure she’s taken care of, etc). But how often do females do the above for men they are platonic friends with? Maybe in isolated scenarios but it’s not be status quo. Most often this “friendship” is going to require more effort and patience on the man’s side.

That doesn’t mean men can’t be friendly with women. That’s fine. But there is a difference between friendly vs. friends.

I've spent more than a week with a woman at my home without pursuing relationship with her. Hell I've done it twice (not including when the woman was my sister). As long as she got separate bedroom it's not too big a deal.

Sisters, mothers, aunts, family friends, yup, do it all the time. Strange women, wouldn’t even allow into my home unless they were in dire straights. But you can always find a hotel/motel or a women’s shelter here in the US.
