Guys, Would you have a relationship with a woman who doesn't want to get married or live with you?

Question

I think marriages (or even just living with your partner) is boring. You should want to spend time with your romantic partner when you want to, it shouldn't become a daily obligation, this is what kills the passion in most couples, and honestly, I believe love without passion is not a waste of time.

I do not need a man, I'm a computer engineer and I have enough money to live comfortably without a man, I only want a man as long as he has a strong passion for me; getting married or living with a man is not a good option for me, it leads to routine and boredom.

I was free as a bird to come and go as I pleased and loved it.
I could only be with someone that was independent, not clingy or needy.
It's had to fulfill that role when you are halfway across the country, or off on another 300-mile lunch run on your bike. I also work out of town quite a bit from April through Oct, plus my normal schedule that is odd, 24hr shifts and the not so often 48s, and occasional 72hr shift, back home 1 day and gone again. I didn't need a person to wash my clothes, clean the house, cook, I was raised to know how to take care of myself.
You can't have too many friends.
I was single for a long time by choice and loving it.
No having to spend my day off looking for new doilies for under a plant, going to her 3rd cousin's friend's wedding instead of tasking the car to the racetrack.
They all say that's fine when you first meet them, but as time goes on it starts, I made plans for the weekend, I hope they didn't include me, because you will be kind of disappointed.

Doesn't sound like any relationship I'd want. The whole point of a relationship for me is to eventually live and spend life together with that person.

Also, I religiously avoid liberal women who say "I don't need a man."

None of us technically NEED each other. It's not something to brag about. Men have been that way throughout time, and it's only in the modern day and age with all the conveniences and online jobs which don't require manual labor that women are now in the same boat.

Liberal women tend to think "Oh I make my money so what use is a man other than for sex? They're just an emotional headache." No chance I'm going near a woman like that with a 10 foot pole.

@biancasn From my POV, yours is a good solid way to live at age 27, and I think that is the viewpoint of many in society, including myself. You are self-supporting, and don't need a man from the financial side of things, and you sound like many contemporary woman who have a good job and earnings.  I have a woman friend who is also self-supporting, but for whatever reason she chose, is married to, what I consider, a deadbeat, who works very little and runs up a lot of debt. Stay the course!

Not marrying yes please, I think its a bad concept that I should become blackmailable because of one-sided judges. Not living together though defeats the purpose of it all for me. The whole don't need a man thing also isn't my thing, you can be perfectly happy being single for all I care. I seek a girlfriend who actually wants me in her life.

I recommend you just don't go for a relationship at all, just seek out a friends with benefits.

I agree that two people should have a passion for eachother. The only problem I see with this is love is seldom ever 100% equal. But two people should always be cognizant of the other persons feelings (as best they can anyways) and make an effort to be as equal as possible.

What you described in this question is a friend. A person who doesn't have any aspirations to marry you and doesn't want to live with you is a friend to me. Keep in mind I am making the assumption in this question that these 2 people have known eachother for a while. Because nobody should be wanting to live with or marry someone if they've only known them say, 48 hrs.🤣

I guess I need more specifics with this question to fully understand what you mean.

You're making contradictory statements here. You said "I only want a man as long as he has a strong passion for me". If he has a strong passion for you, eventually he's going to want to live together and get married. You telling him that you don't want to live together or get married is basically telling him you do not have that same strong passion for him. So good luck with that. If you want a guy to get serious about you, you're going to have to get serious about him and stop fearing commitment. If you want strong passion, you're going to have to give it back in return to keep it going. You can't be a dead fish.

That's what we call friends with benefits well tbh I wouldn't even call them a friend.
Thinking every moment needs to be tied to that passion as that's the reason to even see each other makes it only that.
So it's a fling and nothing more which I'm okay with but bet she wouldn't be all the sudden when she finds out I am spending my energy and actual bonding with another girl who likes me for me than thinks only about the passionate moments.

exactly my thoughts, we are not symbiotic creatures we are individuals with their own life, living together not just causes the flames to die but also puts burdens no one actually ones to deal with on our shoulders like who will do the chores or money business etc etc.

You don't need a man at all. You should focus on your job. I practice celibacy and find that it works very well for me. Once you get all of those hang ups out of your life you'll be amazed how much nicer it is. Sexuality only exists for reproduction, romance is just a veneer.

Nope.. Marriage only leads to boredom when you let it, but it shouldn't be constant passion.. Love is not about passion, and it's not passion.. That's endorphins and dopamine.. Real love is your feelings eventually dutifully guiding you through that routine, and knowing that you have a partner for life.. That's what's wrong with relationships today..
