3.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. Just depends on what they did in the first place , and how much I love and care about that person. If she cheated on me physically with someone else , then no I wouldn’t give her a second chance , if she disrespected me our relationship and flirted with someone else , then possibly I would let that slide as long as they had valid proof that it didn’t go further than that. I busted my ex secretly talking to her coworker behind my back that he clearly wanted to fuck her , and I lost my shit and immediately separated from her , telling her she is a cheating whore. After we separated she begged and begged for me back saying she never cheated on me , it was him that was coming on to her , when I finally read through all the texts he sent her , I realized she wasn’t flirted with him back so I ended up giving her a second chance until shit hit the fan again and now she isn’t getting a3rd chance whatsoever

11 moThat drastically depends on the person and the circumstances. Growing apart and reconnecting later in life is much different then abuse, cheating, and things of that nature.
I would say some people are best to let go of. They come back because they want to keep control over you they have to keep you hanging on.
Yes, we all make mistakes. But there is a difference between mistakes and intentionally purposely doing things to hurt someone consistently. Sure everyone will hurt you and you will too. But good people feel horrible bad people do not

11 moI gave my boyfriend a second chance after he drove me to fuck this sweet big dick Black boy who went to our school, then got all mad about it. He can't hook me on BBC than get mad when I can't say no to big dick Blacks. It's his fetish too I'm fine with keeping it a deniable thing but still shoving it in his face the way he likes, but he can't ever judge me for it or it's over. He also can't think he gets to do anything like that. It's different if I bring one of my girlfriends and we have a little fun because they think he's cute and don't believe his dick can be as small as I say. He can't go chasing girls. No second chances on that one.

I'm sorry to hear that. Is everything alright now?

@MBlackiron Oh, things are great. I love the fact that I'm hooked and just can't give up sex with the biggest dick Blacks. More and more I realize I am born to be their slut, both for my own pleasure from their big dicks and also for their sexual and racial healing. My boyfriend has learned to find his place, which is me being obvious about it and rubbing his face in it, or him even introducing me to big dick Blacks and getting us into awkward situations where I am sure to cheat with them, but always deniable. We are a perfect match now but it is also not where we have the same deal on both sides of the relationship. We are totally excited by being powerless in the face of big Black dick, but there are things where we are very different. I enjoy how the big dick Blacks also can't say no to me even though they have power over me, and he enjoys almost knowing for sure but then having me lie. I couldn't stand that in the reverse. We're really good and planning to get married.
11 moI did and I think it was a mistake. My advise would be to look at the reason why you broke up and is there a possibility it will happen again. Have they done anything to change their behavior. Have they shown you they are genuinely sorry. Then listen to your gut. If you have any doubts don't waste your time. Look for someone who will appreciate you and give you the respect you deserve.
And I have found that it doesn't matter how much you love somebody sometimes people are not good for you. Sad but true. Even if they love you, sometimes situations are just not healthy.

11 moOf course. We all make mistakes. It's wrong to fully penalize someone for a single mistake.
Having said that, I generally don't believe in third chances. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Well, if you were shamed once, what's one more going to hurt? Frankly, depending on the circumstances, I don't give 2nd chances - except playing the lottery.
- 11 mo
@Daniela1982 Just curious. Do you ever think what you might be missing out on by only giving a person one chance?
- 11 mo
@AviatorTom You know, it really depends on what they did. But if they, say, dumped me for another girl and she in turn dumped him. If he came crawling back to me, I would tell him to keep crawling down the road. I can forgive a bad pizza. But that doesn't mean I want to eat one again.

11 moGenerally no. I used to, but not anymore, in most situations.
I've just been burned too many times. People don't respect or appreciate it when they get the second chances. They end up treating the second chance as an opportunity to continue being abusive. Even if you explain that what happened was a problem; they just don't care.
They want what they want and they'll do whatever casually shitty thing they have to do to make it happen.

11 moThat depends on what they should deserve a second chance for.
In a relationship:
Cheating is a no for me.
Misunderstandings with a bad ending should be negotiable in my opinion. In a friendship, I guess it depends on what caused the distancing.

11 moYes, no problem. I don't considering cheating as something worth breaking up over. If my SO wants to see other guys from time to time, it's no problem.

A second chance after they were mildly rude? Sure.
A second chance after they cheated? Probably not.
