Why do guys disappear when it comes to meeting?

Background: have been speaking to this guy who works away for almost 6 months now. We were planning on catching up when he is back for the Christmas holidays. We would speak nearly every single day.

Last week he would message things like only one more week to go 😍, can't wait to see you, I'll be spending time at yours end. To now the first week of the holiday absolutely no response. I messaged asking what his plans were and left on read.

Before anyone asks, I WAS NOT catfished. We have spoken and video called numerous times. He is 100% single as well no girlfriend waiting at home etc.

I just don't understand how it can go from I can't wait to see you to being ghosted. What the actual? Advice guys!

Mind is telling me to be like fuck him and move on, but obviously after speaking for so fucking long there are feelings. Was planning on going non contact for a month?

Ideas? Thoughts? Help!

Some people are too cowardly to tell the truth. It can be anything and I can understand not responding immediately if you’re busy but ignoring someone is absolutely a cowardly thing to do. People get angry with me for saying that but that’s probably because they are those exact kind of people.

I can understand that things can come up that is out of someone’s control. But that needs to be communicated at some point or another.

But I’ll tell you that a lot of the time honestly, people loose interest and they never give the other person closure. People start talking to someone else or someone else starts talking to them. But they want someone to fall back on if things don’t work out.

People who ignore you aren’t worth your time and I think you should tell him something along the lines of and speak your own words. “I’m not going to waste my time on someone who won’t respond to me. I don’t expect a immediate response if you’re busy but ghosting me is cowardly. If you lost interest, are having second thoughts, or started talking to someone else. Just tell me and give me closure I would never leave you hanging like that. I wish you well but I’m going to find someone whose willing to put the same effort into me as I’m putting into them. Have a nice life”

Move on. First of all he wasn't being honest with you because if you was he would have met up with you...

So nothing back of everything that he said and it was all probably a b******* story.

He probably is it either in a relationship married
Because no matter what he would have been in some sort of contact with you if there was any other reason that he couldn't make it. Anybody straight up would have contacted you to let you know something
Anybody that lies isn't going to get a hold of you at all and then one day you'll send a text or something there will be a little big long excuse.

But it will be b******* because anybody that likes you would have already got a hold of you and told you what was going on that's a long time to be chatting with somebody and that happening

Not sure about others but I never ghosted or ditched any girl in my life 🥰 currently I'm single but if I date a girl I will be committed to her
