If you go on YouTube or tick tock there are 1000s of vids talking about dropping marriage rates & long term relationships. One big theme of it is that men have just given up & there's a lot of people asking why so here's "PART" of my & a lot of other guys reasons why.
One big part is a lot of us simply can't afford to date. I take several expensive medications & can't afford them without medicade so I live on SSI since if I get a job Im almost certain to lose my medicade. Im genuinely too poor to work. Most jobs at average mens fingertips plus food, rent & taxes cost too much. Id have half the spare income working.
I could manage 2-3 dates a month at most since no one wants to "go Dutch" in America. At best it would be the movies or mid-restaurant & I wouldn't be able to afford any kind of gifts or a ring Id also have to lower my QOL. Men are expected to go take you nice places give gifts & pay for dates but most are working a mid job with mid pay best case.
64% of woman think financial stability is most important in a relationship but in the current economy people are struggling with groceries let alone dates. This is especially true for men who have never had a lower rate of collage success yet woman want men to earn more than them.
How is an average guy supposed to have a shot dating when on apps any girl can swipe right on who they want? it's a 3 to 1 ratio If you're average or bellow in money or looks dating isn't possible since you're dismissed at a glance. Nobody meets in public anymore it's all online. I can't even make friends let alone find a girl that likes me.
Lastly rejection. Asking someone out is incredibly stressful. a lot of men are sacred to even talk to woman since they're scared they'll be seen as creepy. Worse is how often woman are rude about it. If you're not interest that's fine but dont laugh at us, dont say eww, dont stand us up, dont milk us for drinks, & don't give us pity dates. It hurts 3X worse than a no. I've had all those happen.
