About the only reason why I would start ignoring somebody is because they're not the type of person that I want to be associated with or they've done something to hurt somebody and they're okay with whatever it is they've done that's about the only reason

I don't think that I would straight up ignore them but I just wouldn't be as happy-go-lucky friendly around them that I probably would be or was at one time

If it’s someone I know they really have to mess up for me to ignore them. If I tell someone to stop contacting me and they don’t is a good way to be ignored.

1. People that only have 1 subject they love to talk about and steer EVERY conversation in that direction whether you like the subject or not! Ex: my parents had a couple friends that became Jehovah's Witnesses. They were usually nice people and none of us minded being around them UNTIL, the Watchtower pamphlets came out and they started yammering on about their beliefs!! I LOVE records and music but, even when I'm hanging with my next door neighbor, who also is VERY big into records, we can go HOURS without bringing up records in a discussion and, even if we do, the subject in the conversation only lasts about 3:00!!

2. Someone like my brother's best friend, Tony. VERY nice guy and a HUGE help around the house but he NEVER SHUTS UP!! Even my brother would just get up and walk away from him after a while.

3. If they are known to be an asshole.

4. If they've done wrong to me or someone close to me. I used to know this guy that lived upstairs of the place where my band used to rehearse. He and the others that lived up there would always come down and listen to us and he & I got to be good friends, or so I thought. One night, I invited him over to my house to spend the night because we were talking about writing some comedy together and the next morning, before I woke up, my mother goes up into her bedroom and finds him hiding behind the far side of dad's bed outside of their closet!!! She can clearly see him, at least his ass sticking up, and she asks him what the hell he's doing in her bedroom? "I can see you over there! What are you doing in my bedroom?" He said nothing until she walked around the room behind him and asked again. He made up some bullshit story about how he saw some spilled paint on the carpet and was just trying to pick it off the carpet.
When I got up a bit later, she told me about it and said she doesn't want him in her house anymore. I sent him home and never talked to him again!!
One cool thing I found out the night before is that he is Art Tripp's cousin and Art used to live about a block away from me but, I never knew that. Art was already drumming for Frank Zappa or Capt. Beefheart by the time I was 6.

5. If they're constantly trying to bum money from me when I don't have any. Especially if it's for shit like booze or cigarettes.

6. People that belittled me, tortured me, lied to or about me and even beat me up (or tried to).

7. Phony people like my uncle Jim who claimed and acted like he knew everything about everything. Call him out on something and you find out what a phony he is!
Or, he would act like he was very crippled. He'd walk into the back yard with a neck brace on, a bad limp and a cane and wince in pain for about half an hour and, once he milked everyone for their sympathy, he'd hobble down into the basement, change into his bathing suit, remove all the support gear, come up into the yard and do a flip into the pool!!
If someone else had drugs they were taking for ailments, no matter what they were, he'd take one and wash it down with beer!!

8. People like these 2 guitarists I used to have in my band, Frank and Jason, who, even though they had a steady girlfriend or wife, they'd STILL try to fuck every woman they could find that'd stand still long enough!!

If I find a woman's attractiveness to be a major distraction to my business, projects or something else, then I do on occasion ignore them.
