1. Anecdotal fallacy - Using personal bias experiences as a way to dismiss someone's issues or arguments
Example: a lot of men are single in the dating world
Other person: That's not true, i see plenty of men dating and are doing fine.
2. The just world fallacy - You believe the world is fair and that a person gets what they deserve in life
Example: You see a homeless man on the street and assume he's lazy, an alcoholic and carries thus he deserves to be in his current situation

Both can be accurate in those cases though so it isn't a fallacy really. If you want to call it a generalization by saying "all or a lot" then sure. Nobody knows the correct answer and someone saying "lots of men are single" is falling into this same generalization/fallacy.
Saying a lot doesn't mean entirely. Its 50/50. You have men who are single and other men who aren't. There's a balance. And yes they could even though you don't really know but a lot of people assume the person did something that lead to their downfall because we want to believe the world has fitting consequences and that there's some kind of cosmic justice that rewards or punishes based on your actions
I think this is complete nonsense
