Why would you say, "This is so reducing"?

If you're on a dating app and someone liked your profile + you liked their profile back, why would the first thing you say be, "This is so reducing?"

Is this person trying to express that they made a mistake or is this person just kind of toxic/belittling random matches for fun? Wouldn't you just normally ignore if you're not interested? LOL
