Texting can mean so many things. How can this be taken the wrong way?

I didn’t talk to him last night on the phone. This morning he said

I miss when I don’t to talk to you.

in my mind I’m like I miss when I don’t talk to you too and I asked him about it and he said

I miss when I don’t talk to you meaning I missed our chance to get to talk on the phone.

And I’m like wait what? WTH I’m so confused. That’s why I prefer phone calls to express feelings or say stuff instead of texting.

Texting is cancer. Anyone who insists on texting over actually talking is someone you simply can't trust. Lack of basic communication skills is an illness.

Like we talk to each other every day by calling and texting, but I couldn’t get to him last night because I was busy with something. But I don’t know I think it’s just weird. I’ve never had that. I took it like. Awww I miss that I don’t talk to you too 🥹 but I guess he meant otherwise 🤷🏽‍♀️
