What is your biggest romantic regret?

Not necessarily a regret, but a disappointment.

After my divorce, I dated a few women. One woman was beautiful , intelligent, and I really liked her. I've always taken things slow, and I went slow with her. After our third date, she broke up with me, explaining her 3-date rule... if she doesn't feel chemistry by the 3rd date, she moves on. Had I known that, I wouldn't have gone so slow with her.

Although this was very disappointing at the time, this actually turned out to be a positive for me. After that, I dated a few more women, and never went slow again. About a year later, I met my current wife; we've been married for 8 years and counting.

It seems like women feel undesired as soon as a man isn't ready for kids yet. I mean, have all the fun you want, but once kids are there and you're not ready, good luck.

I mean, Pink says in her song "Dear Mr. President": "Let me tell you 'bout hard work
Minimum wage with a baby on the way".

I might regret having missed that chance with a truly wonderful woman. But I do know of families who couldn't wait for having kids, and due to the unemployed father, the mother had to buy second-hand clothes from yard sales. God knows how their lives developed by now, having to feed five kids already.

I am in the very lucky situation that I have no such thing as a romantic regret.

Placing priorities in life and putting romance on the very bottom of that priority list has given me the opportunity to not have to care about romance, relationships and the like.

Thus, until I get my degree in a few years and practicing in the field of study I chose, I don't think I will ever get any romantic regrets since I am not planning on getting involved in any kind of romance.

I will have time enough when I am 40+ to get busy with that topic.

Not knowing enough about guys to speak up back in college with one guy I really loved. We were too young and had too many grand plans ahead of us. We still touch base once a year for a simple "happy birthday" but there's always a little pause... an unspoken sadness to it all.

In my twenties, I had several girlfriends and dated to an extent. However, I was developing my career in the medical industry and my focus was primarily on that. And often in my off time I was tired and needed to rest up. I somewhat regret not putting more effort into developing relationships. Like I say, I had girlfriends, even as long as a year. But I didn't aim for anything longer because in the back of my mind I just figured relationships were just going to end anyway.

I don't know if this counts as a regret because I'm not sure I ever had a choice in the matter, but I'm kind of surprised and disappointed that I basically got through my twenties without romance. God knows I tried, but it just didn't ever work out.
