I just had my first phone call with my long distance boyfriend. im a very sweet girl but I grew up in the hood so sometimes my voice sounds tough. my boyfriend is not used to this so he thinks I was upset and that I sound like a bad girl lmao. so basically I scared him off. I always wanted to have a soft voice but I failed so badly lmao. so what do I do now? how do i face this embarrassment and what do I say to him?

First of all you have no reason to be embarrassed about being yourself second of all if he truly knows you in some ways he's going to understand where you're coming from and where you've been and why you projected your voice the way you did

And there's nothing wrong with admitting what you just admitted to us I mean that would be a beautiful thing for him to hear and there's nothing wrong with that we've all done it I'm sure just be yourself you know what to do if you sent it to us you know exactly what to do so just do it and tell him how you feel and why and all that kind of stuff

If he messes up one time LOL because I can just picture it I can hear your voice kind of but don't worry about it explain it to him like you just did us there's a tender side there I feel it that's why you said it
