Only silly people would be angry it’s a fucking game…. Some people take a game way too seriously and act like it’s some form of treason but most people aren’t like that.

You’re allowed to date anyone you want (within reason) as long as it’s not interfering with how they play. If he’s making bad plays to help the other team or she’s cheering on the opposing team that may be a issue.

Besides opposing teams aren’t playing against one another on a daily basis either… So no it’s not a big deal.

Technically it could be considered a professional conflict of interest on some level and coaches, funders, etc. could make life difficult for the player and/or cheerleader. Read all the contracts (or scholarship stipulations if it's college-level sports).
