3 of my friends in highschool went from wonderful sweet and friendly to rude aggressive mean girls to any one but those on Thier cheer team.

Our cheer team was terrible too! Always lost Thier competitions.

Yeah I honestly would have zero issues with it. I was a cheerleader in highschool and had friends that were also cheerleaders.

I'm sorry you had bad experiences. There are good people who are cheerleaders though, just like there are bad people who get into it. It's like anything else really. I truly hope it doesn't spoil your overall image of us.

I know what you mean about the nasty cheer culture... It's why my daughter and I chose not to put her in it. Cheerleaders are even mean to cheerleaders around here. It's really sad. That being said, if it were a nice one who just happened to join then why not?

Someone once told me they wouldn't date me because I was too perky like a cheerleader. So, even if they were stereotypically nice some people would turn them down.

The cheerleaders at our small high school were pretty nice and turned out to be decent adults from what I've heard. I'd like to think that maybe they matured a bit after high school. I didn't have a chance with any of them when I was a skinny nerdy dork. I've had a few Facebook friend requests from them in the past (now that I have grown up and filled in nicely)

Do You mean all of it or just the first part? Anyway, if we're talking reality, not fiction, I highly doubt there are many cheerleaders who would be worth dating. Trying to find them out would be a real hassle, and there is no guarantee they will not morally degrade further over time. And You know, it's not even truly their fault. Cheerleading is almost all about looks, a bit about skills (I highly doubt many men who are even interested in cheerleading in the first place would care about choreography or choreography mistakes if the looks were good enough). This directly promotes narcissism, and few can resist the influence. And for a woman to actually bear the thought that she's only seen as eye-candy, she must get a little bimbo-ish, otherwise she'd probably die of shame. Thus... Becoming narcissists and/or flashy bimbos is a fate few cheerleeders can resist.

I'm 51. I'm not rich. I doubt the girls I've seen interviewed as cheerleading representatives would be interested in me and frankly from what I've seen I doubt I'd be interested in them either. We'd have nothing in common with the possible exception of an unhealthy appreciation for her tits.

So yes I have no problem with cheerleaders. Of course context needs to be applied.
