What do you expect out of a first date?

Funny I'm asking this as a 35 year old, but several dates later I still wonder wtf these women are expecting. Usually I just learn a little bit about her and I can generally get a good idea if she's someone I want to see again, but honestly I still don't know much about her after one date, but that's fine by me. Nothing wrong with a little mystery. Plus nobody is really themselves during the first few dates anyways. I've come to the conclusion these women have very unrealistic standards. Like they're already focused on marriage after the first date and are checking the boxes off.

Not all, but it's always in the back of their mind. Same with babies. I think it's a bit early though. I had a couple girls ask what my last name was and started saying their first name and my last name to see if it sounded good. Those were some major red flags. Lol They really were a couple of nut jobs

Maybe you need to look for girls elsewhere? Most men don't seem to be experiencing this issue to the same degree that you are.

It's very sensible to at least ask why someone is dating. Are they looking for a life partner, spouse, a parent for their future children? It's reasonable to say "I'm hoping to meet someone and marry in the next three years". Not so reasonable to say "I'm hoping to meet someone and marry in the next six months."
