My boyfriend almost bailed on me when he found out I was a LEO. He’s corporate security, ex-Navy and ex-Fed but he’s got this weird rivalry with local law enforcement.

Yes I would…. But a lot of people (of both sexes mind you) want to date a cop because they think it will be hot without knowing what they’re getting into.

I don’t think they understand what kind of fucked up shit they deal with and the toll it takes. They don’t know how to be emotionally supportive and can’t deal with it when they’re having a bad day. As well as the not knowing if they’re coming home.

Also… The culture in law enforcement everyone sleeps with everyone. Not everyone does…. But you need to be careful because it’s very easy to get cheated on as well as very easy to cheat. Just remember these people get a LOT of attention from the opposite sex as well as their colleagues. It happens and be aware of it.

Nope. Not a cop or an EMS or a doctor. Sorry guys. I thank you for your service, but you need a very dedicated and special kind of lady to handle the constant stress of watching you leave for hell and possibly not come back.

(That sounds very harsh, but a relative of mine was a cop and several guys in my family are career military… it’s VERY stressful on everyone and of course there’s never enough to do to set the nerves of the spouse at ease…. My one relative perished as a result of 9/11 exposure… It’s… a bunch of professions I admire but I don’t think I’d be able to do justice to someone like that as their spouse.)

He doesn’t hate cops, he just buys into the dumb feds VS cops mentality. It’s dumb because as a LEO I never had problems with Federal agencies
